Muay Thai - The Art of Fighting
Muay Thai is an ancient system of using bodily parts both for defense and offensive combat. Thai warriors has effectively battled invaders and all sorts of enemies, even while outnumbered and out-equipped in weapons - literally by bare hands, feet, elbows and knees. Even nowadays this ferocious Martial art is being used in its combat form by Army of Thailand, and many of its principles, techniques and tactics serve for advanced military combat training in many countries worldwide, as well as for Mixed Martial Arts, fights without rules and similar real combat championships.
Most recently this Fighting Art has been widely promoted by young talented boxer Panom Yeerum well known by his Western nickname as Tony Jaa - who has achieved huge recognition both as a fighter and stunts man. He has made Muay Thai synonymous with the titles of his last 2 excellent movies "Ong Bak" (Western title: TheThai Warrior/ Muay Thai Warrior) and "Tom Yum Goong" (Western title: The Protector) - in fact the present popularity of Muay Thai in the West has inspired to direct and act in his own new movie - the sequel "Ong Bak 2" which supposed to come up in late 2007 or 2008. A lot of new websites dedicated to Muay Thai has been started and no doubt more will erupt, as well as increasing numbers of people joining clubs to study this terrific Martial Art!
This e-book will help any beginner to learn this very effective style of fighting, well recognized as perhaps the most efficient and deadly.
